Released Israeli Detainee Exposes the Occupation: The Army Killed My Mother and Injured Me and My Brother on October 7th
Watan-An Israeli ex-detainee, released in the recent exchange with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), exposed the Israeli army’s killing of Israelis during the Operation Tempest of Al-Aqsa.
The released detainee stated in an interview broadcasted by Israeli Channel 12 that her mother was killed as a result of the Israeli army firing at the car transporting them to Gaza during the capture operation on October 7th of last year.
She added that fighters from the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, placed the detainees in a truck on October 7th, and Israeli forces opened fire on the vehicle.
She noted that her mother died from Israeli gunfire while she was injured in the back, and her brother was injured in the leg.
It should be noted that in November of last year, Israeli police received information indicating that an Israeli military helicopter fired on Israelis at a music concert held in the Gaza envelope coinciding with Operation Tempest of Al-Aqsa on October 7th.
Testimonies of those held by the resistance
The assessment of the Israeli security establishment revealed that Hamas was not previously aware of the Nova festival in Kibbutz Re’im. It learned about it from the air after the launch of its drones and para-gliders.
The police investigation found that Hamas had planned to reach Kibbutz Re’im and other kibbutzim during Operation Tempest of Al-Aqsa but discovered the dance festival in Kibbutz Re’im during the same raid.
The investigation disclosed that an Israeli military helicopter arrived at the scene from the Ramat David base and opened fire, hitting several celebrants who were present.
Testimonies on December 11th from Israeli eyewitnesses held by the resistance in the Bari area of the Gaza envelope on October 7th implicated the Israeli army in the killing of its citizens by shelling their locations with tanks, despite prior knowledge of their presence there.
Israeli pilot Major Erez previously stated that during the Palestinian resistance attack on October 7th, it was understood that the army implemented the “Hannibal Protocol,” which includes killing prisoners to prevent the transfer of Israeli civilians to Gaza as captives.
