Retired Israeli General Amir Haskel Condemns Netanyahu and IDF, Calls for Action

Watan-Retired Israeli Brigadier General Amir Haskel launched a sharp attack on the occupying army and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking in front of the tents of the families of the martyrs, prisoners, and detainees.

Haskel, addressing the crowds present, said: “At the beginning of my speech, I need your cooperation, and I also call on the police to participate in this.”

And Haskel asked, “What should we do now, should we stop?” The attendees replied, “No,” and he added, “Should we throw Netanyahu into the trash bin of history?” They responded, “Yes.”

Amir Haskel pointed out that 72% of the Israeli public supports the position of the families of prisoners and detainees, affirming that over the past year, Netanyahu and his government have succeeded in destroying Israel and undermining the judicial system, economy, police, education ministry, and foreign relations with the world.

Amir Haskel also noted that Netanyahu succeeded in destroying Israeli society and people’s trust in their institutions. He highlighted the success of the Hamas movement during Netanyahu’s era in attacking with Kalashnikov weapons, riding motorcycles, small trucks, and parachute flying, destroying army camps and settlements, killing more than 1,200 people, and capturing 240 civilians, soldiers, and recruits in the Gaza Strip.

And he continued, “Hamas has made Israeli deterrence a joke and exposed Israel’s vulnerability.”

Netanyahu faces immense pressure from the families of prisoners and detainees who demand that he conclude a deal for the release of the prisoners and detainees, even if it comes at the expense of stopping the war on Gaza and releasing all Palestinian prisoners from the occupation’s prisons.

Families of Prisoners in front of the Israeli Ministry of Defense

Hundreds of protesters and Israeli prisoners’ families began a sit-in at the entrance of the Ministry of Defense in the Kirya area in Tel Aviv, demanding an immediate plan for the release of the detainees.

The demonstrators and the families of the prisoners affiliated with the resistance set up tents at the entrance of the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv, and hung the names and pictures of the detainees on a nearby wall.

The Association of Families of Detainees accused the Israeli occupation government of not caring about the fate of their sons amid the military operation.

The movement of the families of the prisoners increased after the “accidental” killing of 3 detainees by Israeli forces in the Shejaiya area in Gaza on Friday, in addition to the Israeli army’s announcement on Saturday of the killing of one of the Israeli detainees in the sector.
