Everyone participated in this campaign in a race to donate for the relief of the people of Gaza
Platforms for collecting donations were designated at three vital locations in Qatar: The Corniche, Souq Waqif, and Katara Cultural Village.
The Charitable Activities Regulatory Authority in Qatar affirmed, in a statement, that the campaign is part of Qatar’s supportive stance towards the Palestinian people and to aid the victims of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, especially the wounded, orphans, widows, children, the elderly, and pregnant women.
The campaign aims to receive donations from all segments of society, both Qataris and residents, to purchase urgent needs such as medicine, food, tents, clothing, and water.
In statements to the press, the Acting Secretary-General of the Qatar Red Crescent, Faisal Mohammed Al-Emadi, said that the “Duty to Palestine” campaign is an excellent example of Qatari solidarity, with citizens and residents coming together to support their brothers and sisters in Palestine, led by the country’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Al-Emadi added that thanks to the donations for the campaign, the Qatar Red Crescent has announced the dispatch of a ship loaded with various relief aid, equivalent to the cargo of more than 30 planes. It is expected to depart soon from Doha to provide assistance to those affected by the aggression in the Gaza Strip.
