Watan-The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, released on Thursday a video documenting the moment of sniping an Israeli officer during the ongoing combat operations in Gaza.
The video, published by the brigades and circulated by media outlets, was filmed east of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

The footage shows the moment of target identification—the Israeli officer driving a vehicle—by the skilled Al-Qassam sniper who swiftly eliminated him with a precise shot from a considerable distance.
The statement from Al-Qassam revealed that the sniper used the ‘Ghoul’ rifle, specifically developed for sniper operations, in this operation.
“Ghoul Rifle” of Al-Qassam Brigades
On Wednesday, the Al-Qassam Brigades released a video revealing their new weapon, the “Ghoul Rifle,” and the local manufacturing processes taking place within the tunnels of the brigades beneath the Gaza Strip.
The sniper rifle “Ghoul” is considered one of the most important locally manufactured weapons produced within the Gaza Strip by the resistance. The Al-Qassam Brigades claim that this rifle has caused the deaths of many occupation soldiers.
The locally made rifle uses ammunition of caliber 12.7 and 14.5 mm, with a lethal range of up to 2 km. It is one of the longest sniper rifles in the world, measuring over a meter and a half in length.
The lethal range of the “Ghoul” rifle is approximately 2000 meters, compared to 1500 meters for the “Steyr” sniper rifle and 1200 meters for the “Dragunov” rifle.”
