Hebrew Media Reports: UAE and Saudi Arabia Issue Warning of Aid Reduction to Gaza Unless January Ceasefire
Watan-The Hebrew Channel 12 reported that the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia “issued a final warning to Israel; that if the fighting does not stop in January 2024, they will be forced to reduce the humanitarian aid they transfer to the Gaza Strip.
The channel reported in its coverage that amid the intense battles waged by the Israeli occupation army in the depth of the Gaza Strip, Gulf countries, led by the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, issued a warning to Israel, stating that if the fighting does not stop in January, they will reduce Gulf aid to Gaza.
Quoting what it claimed to be “Arab sources,” it added: “If Israeli intentions are to remain in the sector in the long term, it will be the responsibility of the Israeli and American sides to address these issues.”
It continued: “What you see in Gaza is unprecedented anywhere in the world, and we face a major challenge. There are hundreds of tons of food in all warehouses, and there is still a lot of chaos. They are not working there in an organized manner enough.”
The source added that nevertheless, the first phase of installing the water pipeline from Egypt to Gaza has been successfully completed – which transports water from desalination facilities on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing to the Gaza Strip. The Emirati initiative aims to provide safe drinking water to around 150,000 residents of Gaza.
Last week, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations, Lana Nusseibeh, linked the reconstruction of Gaza with the two-state solution and infrastructure in Gaza.
The alleged support
The Hebrew channel continued to praise what the United Arab Emirates had done – extending its hand to the assailant while claiming to assist the victim. Within the framework of the operation known as “The Brave Knight,” the United Arab Emirates has reportedly sent aid amounting to $140 million to the Gaza Strip so far. This aid includes significant quantities of food, medicines, rain-resistant tents, and winter clothing.
To complete the picture of conspiring against the Palestinian people, the Hebrew channel also touched upon the role of the orchestrator of the counter-revolution against the Arab Spring revolutions, “Mohammed Dahlan.” According to the channel, during the war on Gaza, Dahlan decided to extend his hand to the Gaza Strip, allegedly seeking to showcase his presence and strengthen his position in the streets of Gaza.
