Watan-An angry Indian husband beheaded his wife because she took too long to prepare a cup of tea.
According to Indian media reports, a 52-year-old Indian man stabbed his 50-year-old wife 15 times with a sword before beheading her because she took too long to prepare his drink.
Police say the suspect, named “Daramveer,” killed his wife “Sundari” with a sword in their home in a village near the capital Delhi, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The local police chief said that the husband woke up a few minutes after his wife, who had already started preparing the drink, and immediately asked for his beverage.
After being told that it would take another 10 minutes, ‘Daramveer’ exploded in a fit of anger and rushed to grab a sword, which he later used to kill his wife.
The police inspector told the Times of India that ‘Sundari’ woke up at 6 am and began preparing tea as she did every day.
He added that ‘Daramveer’ woke up a few minutes later and called out to her for a cup of tea, while the couple’s four children were asleep in another room.”
She was 10 minutes late in preparing tea, so he beheaded her!
After about five minutes, ‘Daramveer’ requested tea again and rushed to the makeshift kitchen on the balcony.
The police inspector stated, ‘The husband became enraged when his wife told him that preparing tea would take another 10 minutes and kicked the utensils away.’
She was late in preparing tea for her husband, so he killed her with a sword.
The officer said that he then went to get the sword before returning and using it to kill his wife.
Their son heard her screams and rushed to the scene where he saw his mother bleeding.
It is alleged that ‘Daramveer’ attacked their children as they tried to help her, so they fled to their room.
Villagers also rushed to their house upon hearing the screams and found ‘Sundari’ dead in a pool of blood.
The police were called, and ‘Sundari’s’ body was taken for autopsy. Meanwhile, the husband ‘Daramveer’ was arrested.
The son of the deceased told Indian media that his father was accustomed to drinking five or six cups of tea daily. He added that ‘Daramveer’ would often get angry and yell at his mother if she refused to prepare tea or if it was late, but until that moment, he had never physically harmed her.”
