Watan-The Hebrew media presented surprising footage that sparked controversy of an Israeli military Hummer vehicle being towed after clashes with Palestinian resistance in Juhar al-Dik, east of Gaza, following its targeting by Al-Qassam Brigades with a guided “Cornet” missile.
In the video captured by “Watan,” two surviving soldiers are seen near the heavily damaged Hummer, while a large quantity of Israeli soldiers’ blood is visible, especially in the driver’s seat, where a “pool of blood” is evident.
The Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that its fighters targeted Israeli military gatherings in the Juhar al-Dik area, east of the central region, with the short-range “Rajm” missile system. The Israeli army admitted the death of five of its personnel, including two officers.
A well-prepared ambush
The Al-Qassam fighters successfully set up an ambush in the Juhar al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip, managing to target four jeeps of the enemy leadership. They detonated a complex field of anti-personnel and anti-armor explosive devices, resulting in the crushing of the force and the death of all its members. Additionally, they destroyed an Israeli tank that rushed to the scene with a “Yasin 105” shell, targeting its elements.
Five soldiers killed in the ambush
On Saturday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced the execution of several attacks on the Israeli army, one of which led to the killing of five soldiers in an ambush inside a tunnel in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a statement, Al-Qassam said: “We managed to lure 5 soldiers from the Yahalom unit into one of the Qassam tunnels east of the city of Khan Yunis.”
They continued: “As soon as they entered the tunnel, it was detonated, and they were eliminated from point zero.”
