Osama Hamdan, a member of the Political Bureau of Hamas

Watan-Osama Hamdan, a member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, made noteworthy statements regarding developments in Gaza and receiving proposals from several countries regarding the issue of prisoner exchange. He warned against any involvement with a plan to displace the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, which may be imposed or proposed by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Osama Hamdan emphasized that Gaza is facing a ‘genocidal war’ after the occupation failed to achieve any declared goal in the region, and the resistance thwarted its plans.

During a press conference in Beirut, Hamdan stated, ‘The occupation army continues to commit massacres against the people of Gaza, as well as in the West Bank.’

Additionally, he added that “the crimes of the occupation have resulted in about 21,000 martyrs and more than eight thousand missing since the beginning of the brutal war,” describing Israeli soldiers as “new Nazis.”

The Hamas official highlighted the occupation’s use of “all kinds of weapons with brutality and revenge against civilians in Gaza,” including “incendiary bombs in areas that were previously declared safe.”

schemes of forced migration

Hamdan also warned countries worldwide against dealing with what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is promoting as voluntary migration for the residents of Gaza. The Palestinian official emphasized that there are many initiatives and ideas presented by some countries to the Palestinian resistance.

He continued, stating that “the movement has received proposals and initiatives from several countries and is open to anything that achieves the interests of the Palestinian people, who do not expect a temporary truce but a comprehensive cessation of war.”

Regarding the occupation’s plans for the displacement of Palestinians, the Hamas leader reiterated the movement’s stance, saying: “No displacement, no forced migration, no Palestinian surrender, and no retrieval of prisoners without submitting to the conditions of the resistance.”

The resistance foils Israeli occupation plans

Hamdan pointed out that “the people, with all their components, are united against the plans of the occupation, while Netanyahu moves from one failure to another, succeeding only in killing civilians, while the Palestinian resistance thwarted the enemy’s plans for Gaza.”

The Palestinian official spoke about one option now facing the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government, which is to admit failure and surrender to the conditions of the Palestinian resistance, foremost among them a complete cessation of the brutal war.

Regarding Washington’s insistence on continuing the war on Gaza, Hamdan affirmed that this means taking responsibility for the “blood of children and women,” adding that the American stance makes Biden and his administration complicit in the crime in the region.

Severe Israeli Losses

At the same time, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the infliction of significant losses on the Israeli side. They reported that they targeted a special Zionist force consisting of a reinforced unit of 40 Israeli soldiers who were taking cover in a house in the Jabaliya Al-Balad area in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in 40 Israeli soldiers being either killed or injured.

The Al-Qassam Brigades stated in a Telegram statement: ‘Al-Qassam fighters were able to target a special Zionist force consisting of a reinforced unit of 40 soldiers taking cover in a house in the Jabaliya Al-Balad area in the northern Gaza Strip with anti-fortification TBG shells.’

The statement clarified that all members of the Israeli force fell as either ‘killed or injured.
