Iran Claims Victory Over Israel
Iran’s National Security Council Says Israel Forced Into Unilateral Ceasefire After 12 Days of Fighting.
Watan-Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced on Tuesday that it had “forced” Israel to unilaterally stop the war, warning that the Islamic Republic remains on “alert” and “ready to respond to any aggression,” following Washington’s announcement of a ceasefire between the two sides.
The council affirmed it had achieved “a victory that made the enemy regret, accept defeat, and halt its aggression unilaterally,” adding that Iran “does not trust the enemies at all” and “keeps its finger on the trigger” to deliver “a crushing response that will make any aggressor regret their actions.”
It added that the Iranian people stood firm with resilience and determination, and that “Iran’s recent attacks were a legitimate response to Israel’s violations.”
The statement emphasized that Iran’s armed forces “acted courageously and responded to the enemy at the right time and in an appropriate manner.”
It concluded by stating that Tehran “achieved strategic superiority” during the 12-day clashes, and that “Israel was forced to accept defeat and agree to a unilateral ceasefire.”
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran “has now come into effect,” urging both sides not to violate it.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “The ceasefire is now in effect—please do not violate it!”
