Watan-The report published by the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” revealed the outlines of an Israeli plan to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip, with indications emerging from developments in Jordan and Egypt.
According to the report translated by (Watan), tents designated for the displaced were photographed in Jordan, indicating the readiness of the Jordanian authorities to receive migrants coming from Gaza.
The newspaper pointed out that dozens of cities designated for Palestinian refugees are being established in the region east of Amman.
This comes in conjunction with the arrival of the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, in Cairo, to meet with the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and discuss the developments of the war in Gaza.
The King discussed with the Egyptian President ways to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the serious developments resulting from the war.
The Jordanian interest in ending the war is notable
The Hebrew newspaper Maariv claimed that Jordan is interested in ending the war due to its financial losses, amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars since October 7th, caused by the low number of tourists visiting the region, as translated by (Watan).
The newspaper stated, “Jordan’s interest in ending the war in Gaza is evident, as reports indicate that the Hashemite Kingdom has lost hundreds of millions of dollars since October 7th due to the low number of tourists visiting the area.”
According to Maariv’s allegations, the Jordanian monarch may discuss with the Egyptian president not only the security implications of the war on the entire region but also its economic effects.
The newspaper pointed out that Egyptians are also facing economic difficulties due to Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea, without mentioning the policies of the Egyptian regime, which experts have consistently argued have eradicated all aspects of development and stability in the country.
Egyptian proposal regarding Gaza
The newspaper covered an Egyptian proposal for a solution in Gaza, which involves a three-stage deal for a prisoner exchange. The first stage includes a ceasefire lasting approximately two weeks.
The Egyptian plan entails the Israeli occupation fighters ceasing their operations in the Gaza Strip and collecting intelligence information, in exchange for the release of 40 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas in Gaza.
According to Hebrew media, senior Israeli officials have described the Egyptian proposal as preliminary and immature. However, they acknowledge that the presentation of the proposal itself is important and positive.
The Israeli occupation sees that the Sisi regime in Egypt possesses significant leverage over Hamas, and the more Cairo dominates attempts to renew negotiations, the higher the chances of success from the perspective of the occupation.
The second stage of the proposed Egyptian plan will involve talks with the Palestinian Authority to form a kind of internal Palestinian reconciliation government. The third stage will see another ceasefire, a comprehensive agreement for the exchange of prisoners, the withdrawal of Israel from the Gaza Strip, according to Maariv.
The Israeli occupation continues its brutal war on the Gaza Strip for the 82nd consecutive day, resulting in horrifying massacres against civilians, especially children and women.
The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s war on the Gaza Strip has reached around 21,000 martyrs, with the majority being women and children. Additionally, the number of injuries in Gaza has exceeded 54,000 with various wounds, according to Palestinian sources.
