A video clip, published by several Hebrew media outlets that boasted of documenting the targeting of a resistance member, showed the fighter running among several houses, carrying a bag in his left hand.
The drone camera followed him, and he was targeted at the entrance of one of the houses. In the footage, the resistance member is seen sitting, then leaning to one side, raising the index finger of his right hand in a gesture of monotheism before prostrating on the ground, departing from life.
There were questions about the identity of the martyr who met his Lord in prostration, unprepared, according to the expressions of social media users. Among the prominent information about him:
- -The martyr is the mujahid Taysir Abu Taimeh, an imam of a mosque in Khan Yunis, a memorizer of the Quran, and the leader of an elite unit in the Al-Qassam Brigades, Khan Yunis Brigade.
- -Abu Taimeh refused to surrender to the enemy’s desires even when injured, as he raised his finger in a gesture to the drone.
- He persisted despite his injuries, meeting his Lord as a martyr in prostration, according to the circulated video.
- He was one of the memorizers of the Quran, a member of the Hifath Battalion, and served as an imam at the Palestine Mosque in Bani Suheila in the Gaza Strip.
Social media users shared images of the martyred worshiper, affirming that he is an example for all the sons of Palestine and Gaza. One of them mentioned that he is “Allah knows, in the highest ranks of martyrdom.”
The Israeli Channel 14 reported that the video was captured in the center of Khan Yunis, and the resistance member was targeted by a drone belonging to the 55th Reserve Brigade in the Israeli army.
