This comes after the Houthis announced on Sunday the killing of 10 of their members and the injury of others, as well as the sinking of 3 Houthi boats by the gunfire from American aircraft.
Sources revealed that the injured were rescued after the attack and transported to the hospital, while 4 other individuals survived.
While there were no injuries on board the Danish-owned container ship that was attacked by Houthi militants, the U.S. military stated that many armed Houthi crew members were killed when naval helicopters opened fire after targeting the “Maersk” container ship.
On their part, the Houthi group, which has targeted several commercial ships and military targets in the Red Sea and Israel in recent months, revealed details of the incident in a statement released by their military spokesperson, Colonel Yahya Saree, on Sunday.
In their statement, they urged other countries “not to engage in the dangerous American path, as its negative repercussions may affect everyone.”
