Shemesh appeared on Channel 14 in Hebrew with the pistol visibly attached to her waist while hosting a live program. She has consistently expressed her animosity towards Palestinians, advocating for their elimination, and has exhibited discriminatory attitudes against Arabs.

Islamic preacher Essam Tleimat had previously affirmed in an article about allegations of civilians within the occupation: “There are those who participate in military work, and there are those who participate in technical work, all of them ultimately subject to the rule of the occupier, and the occupier has no authority except to be expelled from this land.”
Tleimat clarified in his article for Al Jazeera Net: “If we agree that the land of Palestine is occupied, by the standards of Sharia, international law, and the judgment of all wise people, then anyone who inhabits these lands is not the rightful owner but an occupier.”
