Jenin Massacre: Israeli Forces Claim Six Palestinian Lives, Including Four Siblings
6 Martyrs in Jenin

Watan-The Israeli occupation forces committed a horrifying massacre in the city of Jenin, claiming the lives of six Palestinian martyrs, including four siblings.

The six young men were martyred in an Israeli drone strike at the entrance of the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of six young men as a result of an Israeli aircraft’s shelling of a gathering of Palestinian youths at the Martyrs’ Square south of Jenin.

The identified martyrs in the shelling in the Martyrs’ Triangle area west of Jenin include four siblings: Haza’ Najeh Hasan Droush (27 years old), Rami Najeh Hasan Droush (22 years old), Ahmed Najeh Hasan Droush (24 years old), Alaa Najeh Hasan Droush (29 years old), Razkallah Nabil Sleiman (18 years old), and Mohammed Yasser Musa Asas (25 years old).

With the martyrdom of the six young men, the number of martyrs in Jenin due to the Israeli occupation’s gunfire and shelling has risen to 80 since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 of last year.

Meanwhile, the National Action Factions in Jenin declared a comprehensive strike affecting all aspects of life, mourning the martyrs’ lives and condemning the ongoing crimes of the occupation.

Israeli occupation forces had earlier invaded the city of Jenin, leading to confrontations with the youth in various areas of the city.

Palestinian sources reported hearing explosions in the central part of Jenin, coinciding with clashes between resistance fighters and occupation forces.

Palestinian youth confronted the Israeli forces that entered Jenin from the northern and southern entrances, while an Apache helicopter belonging to the occupation forces shelled the conflict zone.

This comes as armed clashes erupted between the youth and Israeli soldiers in multiple areas of the city. Israeli military vehicles also headed towards the Jabariyat neighborhood overlooking the Jenin refugee camp.

The armed confrontations paused after Palestinians detonated explosive devices against Israeli military vehicles in the Jabariyat neighborhood, resulting in the damage of several of them.

Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades in the Jenin camp stated in a release that they engaged an Israeli foot force that had entered Jenin city with an ambush, confirming the serious injury of several occupation soldiers.

On another front, the Al-Quds Brigades in the West Bank declared, ‘Our fighters in the Jenin battalion engaged in multiple axes in the city and its camp, conducting armed confrontations with bullets and explosive devices against the occupation forces. We achieved direct injuries and losses among the enemy forces and their vehicles.’

The death of an Israeli recruit

In the midst of the clashes in Jenin, the Israeli occupation police acknowledged the death of a recruit from the special unit of the Border Police named Gurmai Shai.

Gurmai, of Ethiopian origin, was in a military vehicle that was targeted by an explosive device during an operational mission in Jenin.

With this, the number of casualties among the Border Police and the police forces has risen to 60 since the ‘Al-Aqsa Deluge’ battle on October 7, 2023.

The spokesperson for the Israeli army also announced that four soldiers were injured in Jenin, two of them in serious condition, due to the explosion of a roadside bomb.

Israeli radio ‘Kan Reshet Bet’ quoted an Israeli security source saying, ‘The Jenin ambush was double, and the Israeli force was hit by the explosion of one bomb, and when they turned to withdraw, another bomb exploded.’
