Voices of Captivity: Al-Qassam Brigades’ Video Chronicles Israeli Soldiers’ Last Wishes

Watan-The Al-Qassam Brigades released a new video on Saturday featuring Israeli soldiers who were captured, and the Israeli army claimed that they were mistakenly killed in the Shujaiya neighborhood in the Gaza Strip.

The commentary on the video, recorded days before their death, stated that “the last wish of these captives was to return alive… but something has changed.

A new message from the Al-Qassam Brigades regarding the Israeli captives

The occupation had previously acknowledged its responsibility for the killing of three of its captured soldiers in Gaza by its forces during the ongoing war on the Strip for about three months.

In the new video released by the military media of the Qassam Brigades, a captive named “Alon Shemeriz” appeared, stating that he had hoped to leave Gaza in the near future. He added, “I miss my family and friends.”

He further expressed, “I want to wish my sister, who celebrated her birthday two weeks ago, a happy life. I hope she is well, and I hope to be out before my mother’s birthday.”

The captive, “Noum Haim,” a reserve soldier, said to his family, “You are my life. I miss you until the end.”

Continuing, he stated, “I will see you soon. I am strong, and we are all okay. I hope for peace to come, and I hope to return soon.”

In addition, an older captive, who appeared to be an officer in the reserves, said, “During my time here, the Qassam men preserved my life and provided me with everything I asked for, including food and drink.”

“Alon Shemeriz” praised the kind treatment he received from Qassam members, stating, “They took care of me, even risking their lives to keep me alive amidst the missiles and bombardment.” This is a testimony similar to that given by released female captives in previous exchange deals that took place earlier last year.

According to the commentary on the video, the captives signaled to the soldiers with a white flag and shouted, “We are kidnapped, kidnapped!” But they were killed in cold blood.

Arab captive “Samer Talalqa,” a reserve soldier, mentioned that the Israeli aggression’s aircraft bombed them daily, even hitting the house they were inside.

The elderly captive, as shown in the video, mentioned that he was present in three houses targeted by air force planes.

According to the video’s commentary, Netanyahu values his government’s leadership chair more than the return of the Israeli captives.

Shemeriz sent a message to Netanyahu, asking him to stop the war and missile attacks, not only for himself but for all captives in Gaza. He added, “We want to return home in peace.”

All hostages in the video, including “Alon,” “Tom,” “Samer,” and “Sakhi,” conveyed a message saying, “We want to return home in peace.”

The commentary concluded, stating, “But Netanyahu and his extremist and racist government killed them, and time is passing and fading away for the rest of the remaining captives.”

On Saturday evening, thousands of Israelis participated in a massive march in Tel Aviv, demanding the return of Israeli captives from Gaza.
