Honoring Gaza’s Martyrs: Qatar Charity Initiatives Provide Health Centers in Kosovo and Nepal

Watan-The Qatar Charity Foundation has announced the establishment of a charitable project in honor of the Palestinian journalist and martyr Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh, and another project in memory of his colleague journalist Mustafa Al-Tharaya, who was martyred in an Israeli airstrike days ago.

In a new war crime added to its criminal record, the Israeli occupation forces targeted a car carrying a group of journalists, including Hamza Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Tharaya, in Khan Yunis on January 7th, while they were working as part of Al Jazeera’s crew in the area where civilians had sought refuge due to the bombardment of several areas in the Gaza Strip. Hamza and his colleague Mustafa were martyred in the Israeli airstrike.

According to the announcement by the Qatar Charity Foundation on its Exs platform account, the charitable project in honor of Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh will be a health center in the Republic of Kosovo, benefiting 5000 people.

The project involves the establishment, furnishing, and equipping of a 275m2 health center with all specialties. The center will provide basic health services, including first aid, maternal and child health services, reproductive health, seasonal vaccinations, dispensing essential medicines, and more.

Qatar Charity also announced a project in memory of journalist Mustafa Tharaya, which is a health center serving 15,000 people in Nepal.

This health center, covering an area of 375 square meters, will be equipped with the necessary medical equipment. The health center will be established in a remote village in Nepal in coordination with government authorities. Additionally, the health center will be handed over to the local government for regular operation and sustainability.

Lulwa Al-Khatir reacts and calls for participation

She commented on her Exs account: ‘The Messenger of Allah said: ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits, or a righteous child who prays for him.’ We hope that everyone contributes to this initiative as a gesture of loyalty to the martyrs of Palestine and their patient families, the martyrs of truth and reality, Hamza Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Tharaya.’

Lulwa Al-Khatir also urged anyone who can contribute to a similar initiative for the rest of the martyrs not to hesitate, ‘whether through Qatar Charity or specialized institutions in your countries.’
