Revelations Unveiled: Israeli Army Faces Accusations of Internal Casualties on October 7

Watan-“Evidence Mounts Accusing the Israeli Army of Killing Its Own on October 7… Revealing New Details”

Evidence continues to emerge accusing the occupying army of being behind the killing of many Israelis during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, implementing the Hannibal Protocol, which allows killing anyone to avoid capture.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper revealed in its investigation a side of what it called a failure and chaos that hit the occupying forces on October 7 during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

It added that this state of failure reached the point of issuing orders to open fire on all vehicles returning to the Gaza Strip, even though some of them contained Israeli prisoners.

The newspaper explained that the command system completely failed and was blind, and due to communication shortages, soldiers had to guide pilots via mobile phones. Additionally, the naval infantry, heading to the fight, went without preparation or protective vests.

“Order to Implement Hannibal Procedure”

According to the newspaper’s investigation, in the middle of the night, after long hours of the attack, the occupying army ordered all fighting units to follow the Hannibal Procedure, explicitly mentioning the name. The order dictated stopping any attack at any cost, amidst the return of Palestinian fighters to Gaza after completing the operation, and with the occupiers knowing that there might be prisoners with them.

The newspaper claimed that a number of fighters were martyred due to intense airstrikes in the area between the buffer zone and the Gaza Strip, and the exact number of Israeli prisoners who were killed with them remains unclear.

Inspecting Vehicles That Didn’t Reach Gaza

It stated that the occupying army inspected around 70 vehicles left in the buffer zone that did not reach Gaza because they were subjected to gunfire from combat helicopters and tank missiles on the way.

The newspaper questioned the absence of the air force in the early hours of the attack, mentioning that two F-16 planes and two F-35 planes flew during that time.

“Confusion and Obscurity Prevail in the Situation”

Due to the confusion and obscurity in the battle, no target was bombed, and there was no one on the ground to guide them to the targets. Pilots contented themselves with flying over strategic targets, even though there was no threat to them.

The newspaper indicated that the pilots flew and landed without doing anything, and there was immense frustration and anger among them.

A senior officer stated that the pilots could have flown at a low altitude to intimidate Palestinian fighters, but they did not do so and were unaware of what was happening.

Immediate Call for Investigation

Days ago, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz called for an immediate investigation into the tank shelling of a house in the settlement of Be’er Sheva in the Gaza envelope on October 7, resulting in the death of several Israelis.

The newspaper stated, “There is no demand more just than the demand of the relatives of those killed in the (prisoners) incident in the Be’er Sheva settlement to investigate the army’s actions and get answers about the circumstances of the death of their loved ones.”

It added, “Moreover, families should not make this request alone; the Israeli army must provide them and the public with an explanation of its behavior on October 7 in front of the house of Bessie Cohen.”

In this context, the newspaper emphasized the need to ensure that the so-called Hannibal Protocol, which dictates preventing the capture of soldiers even at the expense of causing them harm, was used against the Israelis held hostage in that house.

What is the Hannibal Procedure?

The Hannibal Protocol (also called the Hannibal Directive) is a procedure used by the Israeli army to prevent the capture of its soldiers, even if it means killing them. This protocol allows for the bombing of locations where captured soldiers are held.

This protocol was formulated by three high-ranking officers and remained a secret protocol until its adoption in 2006.
