Watan-A 70-year-old woman, in her car, ran over a group of pro-Palestinian protesters in Scotland, and the police subsequently arrested her.
According to The Telegraph, hundreds of protesters gathered on The Mound and North Bank streets in the capital, Edinburgh, around 2:00 PM. They were calling for a ceasefire in Gaza before marching towards the Scottish Parliament.
During the demonstration, an unidentified woman attempted to drive through the crowd in her car, colliding with some of the protesters and causing minor injuries.
A spokesperson for the Scottish police stated, “At around 2:30 PM on Saturday, we were made aware of a road traffic collision between a car and a small number of pedestrians on Mount Pleasant Edinburgh.”
The spokesperson added that officers received reports of minor injuries among pedestrians, but medical attention was not required. The 70-year-old woman was arrested and faces charges related to a driving offense. A report will be sent to the prosecution.
On the same day, thousands of pro-Palestinian supporters rallied in London, Washington, and other cities as part of the “Global Day of Action” demanding an immediate halt to the violence in Gaza and protesting against American and British support for Israel.

Demonstrations occurred in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Oslo, Uppsala, Milan, Tunis, Seoul, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. Participants waved Palestinian flags and carried banners denouncing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
The protesters called for an end to double standards and emphasized the need to hold Israel accountable for its massacres against the Palestinian people, especially children. They condemned the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
