Watan-The Houthi group in Yemen announced on Monday that it targeted an American ship in the Gulf of Aden using a number of appropriate naval missiles, describing the impact as accurate and direct.
According to a statement issued by the group, it indicated that this operation comes “in support of the injustice suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which is still subjected to the worst types of massacres by the Zionist entity… and in response to the American-British aggression on our country.”
The Houthi group, in its statement published by its spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, on his former Twitter account, stated that the Yemeni armed forces consider “all American and British ships and military units participating in the aggression against our country as hostile targets within the range of our forces.”
Saree emphasized that “the response to American and British attacks is inevitable, and any new aggression will not go without a response and punishment.”
Israeli Navigation Restriction
The Houthi group, as conveyed by Yahya Saree in its statement, affirmed its continuation in carrying out its military operations and imposing the decision to restrict Israeli navigation in the Arabian and Red Seas until the cessation of aggression and the lifting of the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

It also confirmed the “continuation of trade movement in the Arabian and Red Seas to all destinations except the ports of occupied Palestine,” stating that it is continuing to take all defensive and offensive measures within the right to defend and confront the American-British aggression.
Ballistic Missile Strike
The American network “BBC” reported that a Houthi ballistic missile struck a container ship owned by the United States off the coast of Yemen.
The crew of the ship “Jebel Tariq Eagle” reported “no injuries or serious damage,” according to the US military command for the Middle East (CENTCOM).
The ship, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, continues its journey in the Gulf of Aden.
The shipping company, Eagle Bulk Shipping, stated that its ship was carrying steel products and was about 160 kilometers (100 miles) off the coast in the Gulf of Aden when it was shelled.
It added that the container “suffered limited damage in the cargo hold but is stable and heading out of the area.”
Houthi Missile Intercept
Hours earlier, the US Central Command stated that an American fighter jet intercepted another missile launched towards an American destroyer in the Red Sea and shot it down.
The Houthis target commercial ships in the Red Sea, which they claim are linked to Israel or heading to Israeli ports, in support of Palestinians in Gaza, while the occupation continues its aggression against the Palestinian people.
