Ali al-Qaradaghi Discusses Reasons Behind the Entry Denial and Ongoing Efforts to Reach Gaza

Watan-Ali al-Qaradaghi, the head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, explained the reason for preventing the entry of the Union’s delegation into Gaza, along with the aid that entered the region.

In a post on the “X” platform, al-Qaradaghi stated, “To those who inquire about the reasons for preventing the entry of the Union’s delegation into Gaza with aid… May Allah forbid any negligence or shortcomings, but the matter is complex and cannot ignore international restrictions and interference, as well as the sensitivity of the situation.”

A delegation from the International Union is preparing for a visit to Gaza.

He added, “Nevertheless, my sincere effort is to reach Gaza, but it requires additional time and effort. I hope everyone understands the difficult circumstances we face and the challenges in attempting to reach the opening of the crossing.”

“We are working with utmost seriousness and determination to overcome these difficulties and reach Gaza as soon as possible. Their cause is our cause, and their suffering is our suffering,” he continued.

Al-Qaradaghi had earlier affirmed that the Union played a significant role in defending the rights of the Palestinian people and condemning the daily Israeli occupation crimes against the people of Gaza since October 7 of the previous year.

As mentioned in his previous statements, a delegation from the Union, led by him, is coordinating with Egypt to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.

Supporting Gaza with 100 ships

He added that an agreement had been reached to send 100 ships in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza, urging Mediterranean countries to protect them until they reach Gaza.

He mentioned proposing several projects to major Islamic countries such as Turkey, Malaysia, and Indonesia to support the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause. Additionally, he proposed to Arab and Islamic countries bordering the Mediterranean to prepare and equip 50 large ships loaded with food, medical supplies, and shelter services for the Palestinian people.

Al-Qaradaghi stated, “We asked Arab and Islamic countries bordering the Mediterranean to protect these ships, and we sent direct messages to some heads of states and ministers of Islamic affairs, asking them to protect the aid ships.”

He continued, “When I went to Malaysia, it seemed that they had heard about this initiative, and they told us that they were ready to send and protect another 50 ships, making a total of 100 ships loaded with aid.”
