Watan-The American intelligence has admitted to the failure of the Israeli occupation army in achieving one of its alleged objectives in the war on Gaza, which is to eliminate the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas.
Sources in the American intelligence have stated that Israel is far from destroying the Hamas movement. The Wall Street Journal quoted sources in the American intelligence as saying that Hamas has enough ammunition to attack Israel and the Israeli forces for several months.
The newspaper also pointed out that Hamas is attempting to redeploy police force in some parts of Gaza, especially in the northern areas where Israeli forces have withdrawn. This indicates a change in Hamas’ tactics against Israeli attacks, with its fighters carrying out operations in small groups and setting ambushes for attacking Israeli forces.
These reports come at a time when the Palestinian resistance is engaged in heroic operations, causing significant losses for the occupation.
Israeli Admission of Failure
The American newspaper highlighted the admission of Israeli officials that they did not achieve their goal of destroying Hamas despite the aggressive air and ground campaign in Gaza, which resulted in the death and injury of tens of thousands of civilians.
The newspaper also noted the change in Hamas’ tactics against Israeli attacks, with its fighters conducting operations in small groups and setting ambushes for attacking Israeli forces.
New Israeli Soldier Casualty
Earlier on Sunday, the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army announced under the “publishable” category the death of one Israeli soldier during the battles in the Gaza Strip, with three other soldiers sustaining serious injuries.
The Israeli army stated that Reserve Sergeant Uriel Afiyad Silberman, a fighter in Battalion 7421 within the Kiryati Brigade, was killed in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli statement, an armored officer in the reserves and a reserve fighter in the same battalion were seriously injured in the same battle. Another reserve fighter in Battalion 466, in the Shuali Hamrom formation (646), was also seriously injured.
About Kiryati Brigade
The Kiryati Brigade, to which the deceased soldier belonged, is one of the core regular brigades in the Israeli army. It was established in 1948 during the Nakba, by Israeli President David Ben-Gurion. This brigade was one of the first nine brigades formed by the Haganah militia and was responsible for securing the area around Tel Aviv. It also participated in the tripartite aggression against Egypt.
Number of Casualties in Ground Battles
The Israeli occupation army admitted to the fall of 195 soldiers killed during ground battles in Gaza, in addition to 1,193 wounded. The total number of casualties announced by the Israeli army reached 2,651.
This comes as strict censorship is imposed on the media, with Israeli media reporting that the number of casualties and injuries is much higher than the announced figure.
