Watan-In a new analysis of the Maghazi operation carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades against the Israeli forces in Gaza, causing catastrophic losses for Israel and shocking Tel Aviv, Jordanian military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwayri suggested that the number of Israeli casualties in this operation could reach 100 soldiers.
The Al-Qassam Brigades had announced the detonation of a house where an Israeli force was taking refuge east of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, leading to the explosion of the ammunition it possessed. They also destroyed a Merkava tank, detonated a minefield in another force present at the same location, and attacked the rescue force attempting to reach the site.
Al-Duwayri analyzed the Maghazi operation
Al-Duwayri analyzed the Maghazi operation, stating that such an operation must be carried out by more than one group. He expressed the belief that it began with the destruction of the tank to attract the attention of the existing force and create confusion before detonating the building shortly afterward.
Fayez Al-Duwayri pointed out that Israel announced 21 dead without reporting any wounded. He noted that military rules established since World War II assume 3 wounded for each killed in traditional battles.
He also indicated that the tank protection group targeted in the building likely consists of 33 individuals under the current operational conditions, along with an engineering group of no less than 10 individuals in each of the two targeted buildings, meaning a minimum of 53 individuals, according to Al-Duwayri.
Major General Fayez Al-Duwayri also mentioned the possibility that the targeted unit may consist entirely of engineering personnel rather than infantry, reaching up to 40 individuals, in addition to the protection and rescue groups.
The Jordanian military expert concluded in his analysis on Al-Jazeera that the number of casualties in the operation could reach 100 individuals, affirming that the operation indicates that the security capabilities of Al-Qassam have reached a very advanced stage.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage on Tuesday documenting what they claimed were moments of their fighters carrying out the complex operation against Israeli soldiers and vehicles east of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The Brigades had announced that they executed a complex operation against the occupation forces on Monday east of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
