Watan-The Qatari channel “Al Jazeera” obtained footage on Wednesday, which it claimed were captured by the cameras of Israeli soldiers who were killed. These scenes show Israeli soldiers booby-trapping Palestinian homes before being targeted east of the al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
In one of the scenes, Israeli soldiers are seen leaving a military armored vehicle and heading towards a partially constructed, destroyed house. Some of them enter a gap in the wall. One of them appears to be carrying a round mine in his hand, and in a subsequent scene, the invading soldiers inside the house are seen booby-trapping it.
On the ground, several mines prepared for detonation are visible. One Israeli soldier is shown attempting to set up one of the mines next to a cement staircase, while others are busy connecting wires to control the mines.
Awaiting a valuable target
A Hamas leader revealed details of the explosion operation east of al-Maghazi, in which more than 20 officers and soldiers of the occupation were killed.

The Hamas leader stated in remarks to Al Jazeera that Hamas members had been positioned in the operation area east of al-Maghazi for weeks despite intense and continuous bombardment. He added that there were instructions to avoid dealing with the invading forces in the al-Maghazi camp, awaiting a valuable target.
He pointed out that the occupying army intensified its fire in the area and conducted searches until it believed it was secure, then introduced a force from the engineering units. He also mentioned that Hamas members chose to avoid dealing with another infantry force standing on a minefield that had been prepared by Hamas earlier.
