Watan-Iran responded, through its Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani, to accusations regarding its involvement in the attack on an American military base in Jordan.
In official Iranian media statements quoted by several news outlets, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson denied any connection of the country to the attacks targeting a U.S. base in Jordan.
He stated that the “resistance factions” in the region do not receive orders from Iran but respond to war crimes and Israeli genocide against Palestinians.
He added that the accusations made by British Foreign Secretary David Cameron against Iran’s involvement in the attack are baseless.
Accusation by Cameron against Iran
Cameron had condemned the attacks carried out by militias allied with Iran against U.S. forces, urging Iran to de-escalate tensions in the region.
We strongly condemn attacks by Iran-aligned militia groups against US forces. We continue to urge Iran to de-escalate in the region.
Our thoughts are with those US personnel who have lost their lives and all those who have sustained injuries, as well as their families.

Iran responds to Britain
In response, Nasser Kanaani stated that these accusations have specific political goals aimed at altering the reality of the region, suggesting influence from third parties, including the Zionist regime responsible for killing children.
He warned that the non-constructive statements and actions of some Western officials threaten regional and international peace and stability. Kanaani emphasized that the resistance factions in the region act based on their principles, priorities, as well as the interests of their country and people.
The drone attack on a U.S. base in northeastern Jordan, near the Syrian border, resulted in the death of three American soldiers and the injury of 34 others.
This attack on U.S. forces in Jordan is the first of its kind since the Israeli war on Gaza and the first resulting in American casualties.
The Islamic resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility, stating that its fighters attacked four “enemy” bases using drones, including the Shaddadi base, the Rukban base, the Tanf base, and the fourth inside the occupied Palestinian territories, specifically the Zifolon Naval Facility.
