Israeli Three-Stage Plan Unveiled for Post-War Gaza Governance

Watan-The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” revealed a three-stage Israeli plan for the “day after” the war on Gaza, which includes:

According to the newspaper, the plan has multiple stages, crafted by a group of businessmen for the future of the Gaza Strip. It serves as a trial balloon by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu had refrained from discussing the “day after” war plans, claiming that Israel’s focus should be on the war itself.

First Stage of the Plan:

The first stage involves the establishment of a complete Israeli military administration in Gaza, responsible for managing humanitarian aid and caring for the civilian population during the transitional period.

Second Stage of the Plan:

Simultaneously, in the second stage, an international alliance will be formed involving Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and others. This alliance will be part of a regional normalization agreement to be signed later and will support the creation of a new entity called the New Palestinian Authority.

The New Palestinian Authority will include officials not affiliated with the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” and not directly connected to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen). They will take responsibility for Gaza, leading to the dissolution of the military government.

According to the plan outlined by the newspaper, Israel will retain security control in Gaza, similar to its operations in the West Bank, whenever operational needs arise to thwart attacks.

Third Stage of the Plan:

Regarding the third stage, the newspaper explained that it would only occur after the stabilization of the Gaza Strip and the success of the new entity, the New Palestinian Authority. Comprehensive reforms will also be implemented in the functioning of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, including the Palestinian educational system.

The newspaper stated, “If this stage also progresses well within a predetermined timeframe, ranging from two to four years, Israel will agree to recognize a demilitarized Palestinian state in the territories of the Palestinian Authority. Moreover, discussions will take place regarding the possibility of transferring additional areas, not requiring the evacuation of settlements, to that state.”

Behind-the-Scenes of the Plan’s Formulation: According to the newspaper, this plan was formulated secretly in Israel by a group called a consortium of businessmen and was presented to official American officials.

Some of these businessmen are considered close associates of Prime Minister Netanyahu, including a genuine close friend. The newspaper considered this a trial balloon by Netanyahu that aligns with the U.S. initiative for a comprehensive settlement in the Middle East.
