Watan-Reports have revealed further withdrawals of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip. The “trt” channel reported a complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from the northern and western parts of the Gaza and northern governorates for the first time since the beginning of its ground operation on October 27 last year.
Withdrawal of the fifth reserve brigade
This followed the withdrawal of the reserve Fifth Brigade affiliated with the Israeli occupation army from the city of Gaza, leaving only one reserve brigade in the sector.
The Israeli military radio stated that the reserve Fifth Brigade left Gaza, claiming to have completed its mission, as part of the continued reduction of additional reserve forces in the Gaza Strip.

It added that this brigade had been fighting in the recent weeks in the northern Gaza sector as part of the 162nd Division, claiming to have taken control of the coastal strip west of Gaza City.
As of now, only one reserve brigade remains in Gaza, the 646th Paratroopers Brigade in Khan Younis.
In recent weeks, the occupation had announced the withdrawal of some of its forces from the Gaza Strip, particularly from the reserve forces.
A large mobilization of reserve forces
The Israeli occupation had previously mobilized 360,000 reserve forces to participate in the war on Gaza, with the intention of engaging in ground battles that began on October 27 last year.
