Watan-The fate of the five-year-old Palestinian girl, Hind, remains unknown on the third day, despite the passage of time since the incident. Her family’s car was fired upon by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of six family members, while her mother, who was not with them, survived.
On social media, the hashtag “Save Hind” topped the trending lists in several Arab countries, accompanied by pleas to find and rescue the girl. Other demands called for an end to the Israeli aggression against civilians in Gaza.
Communication has been lost with Hind for three days, and the rescue team sent to help her in northern Gaza has been unable to establish contact. She is trapped in a vehicle with the bodies of her family members, one of whom was killed while making a desperate phone call to the Red Crescent for assistance.

Hind was trapped inside a vehicle
Hind was trapped inside the vehicle, and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported on Tuesday that they lost contact with the rescue team trying to save the 6-year-old girl trapped in a vehicle in Gaza.
The Palestinian Refugee Center reported last Monday that Israeli occupation forces besieged 6-year-old Hind inside a vehicle at the Fares Fuel Station in Gaza after targeting her family.
The center, in a post on its website, stated that the fate of the rescuers remains unknown.
Can you believe the inhumanity of the IOF? 42 hours and still counting and no word on Hind and #PRCS ambulance crew’s whereabouts nor safety! How can anyone stand with #israel is just beyond me! https://t.co/fWHZMPyqrL

Hind was with her maternal uncle’s family, led by Bashar Hamadeh, when Israeli forces opened fire on the car they were traveling in.
Rana al-Faqih, a member of the Palestinian Red Crescent, confirmed that Hind Hamadeh continued to communicate with them by phone for three hours, saying, “Come and take me… send anyone… it’s getting dark.”
In a video posted by the association on “X,” she added, “Hind’s situation is one of the most painful cases for the association because they are unable to help her, and she is alone among six bodies, hoping to find her and rescue her.”

The sole survivor
The only survivor, Hind, lost six members of her family in the attack, and the rest of the family, along with Hind, remain trapped inside. The Palestinian Red Crescent team continued to communicate with Hind (6 years old) for more than three hours, calming her and pleading for the evacuation of the vehicle.
Activists reported that Hind’s cousin called the Palestinian Red Crescent, and the call was recorded and shared online.
The cousin began seeking help, but moments later, Israeli gunfire targeted the car they were in. The Red Crescent employee continued to talk, but there was no response.
Still alive, and her mother calls for her rescue
Hind’s mother, in a video circulating on social media, stated that her daughter faces brutal occupation, encountering tanks, jeeps, Jewish soldiers, and monsters unrelated to humanity.
Still alive, her mother pleads for her rescue, recounting that during the last contact, Hind said, “Don’t believe them, Mama, they’re all liars.” The grieving mother revealed that Hind, until the last moment of contact, said, “Pray for me, Mama, I’m scared, come and take me.” The mother, trying to reassure her at the last moment, heard the car door open, unsure if it was the Red Crescent or the occupation soldiers who did so.
Hind’s mother appealed to the free people of the world, international organizations, and the United Nations, emphasizing that her daughter is still alive but facing difficult conditions for someone her age, having gone four days without food, water, or proper clothing, concluding with a plea, “Have mercy on her, what do you want from her.”
