Unveiling the Secrecy: Why Al-Qassam Brigades Keep Silent on Martyr Numbers

Watan-Member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” Mohammad Nazal, revealed the reason why the Al-Qassam Brigades do not announce the number of their martyrs who rise in confrontations with the occupation army.

Nazal stated in televised statements that there are security reasons preventing the resistance from announcing the number of its martyrs in the war with the occupation army. He explained that disclosing the numbers requires revealing the names and pictures of these martyrs.

He added that the Israeli occupation punishes entire families because of one of their sons, noting that if the resistance announces a martyr among its fighters, the occupation kills his entire family as punishment.

Nazal pointed out that Israeli retaliation does not only target those close to the martyr but includes targeting entire families.

The resistance inflicts significant losses on the occupation army

The Palestinian resistance boldly confronts the Israeli ground aggression in Gaza, inflicting significant losses on the occupation army.

One of the prominent officers in the “Shaldag” unit (elite forces in the air force) of the Israeli occupation army was killed in the intense clashes with the Palestinian resistance in northern Gaza against the invading forces.

“Shaldag” is a commando unit affiliated with the Israeli Air Force, specialized in carrying out combat missions behind enemy lines. It is Unit 5101, known as “Shaldag” (Kingfisher or Rüppell’s griffon vulture), based at the “Palmachim” airbase, led by a major.

According to Hebrew media reports, this unit is one of the specially trained and tasked units among the four special units in the Israeli army. It is alongside the “Shayetet 13” units for naval commando operations, the 669 unit for medical evacuation, rescue, and airborne evacuation, and the reconnaissance unit of the General Staff “Sayeret Matkal,” the main special forces unit in the Israeli army.
