Hamas Affirms Reconstruction Conditions in Response to Gaza Deal Talks

Watan-Sources in the Palestinian resistance responded to the information regarding private talks between Hamas and the Qataris, as well as the alleged request from Qatar for Hamas to “lower its ceiling.” Al Mayadeen channel quoted sources denying these claims, stating that a Hamas delegation is visiting the Egyptian capital Cairo, where discussions will commence with both Qataris and Egyptians.

It was added that Hamas has informed the mediators that military pressure will not lead to any change in its stance, including an Israeli attack on Rafah.

Hamas submits its response

This comes after the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, submitted its response to Qatar and Egypt regarding the “framework agreement,” following consultations within its leadership and with other resistance factions.

In a statement, Hamas stated that it dealt with the proposal “positively, ensuring a comprehensive and complete ceasefire, ending aggression against the Palestinian people, and ensuring relief, shelter, reconstruction, and lifting the blockade on the Gaza Strip, as well as completing a prisoner exchange operation.”

Hamas leader Osama Hamdan stated in a press conference that the movement has responded to the Paris proposal, ensuring a comprehensive ceasefire, releasing prisoners, and delivering aid.

He added that a delegation from the movement, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, will head to Cairo to follow up on the proposal under the auspices of Egypt and Qatar.

Netanyahu’s insistence on aggression

Hamdan stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on continuing his aggression “confirms his real goal of exterminating Palestinians and displacing them from their land.”

He said that Netanyahu “dismisses the political crisis and his military failure,” and that the movement “will prevent him from achieving his goals through political and military means.”

He confirmed that the movement will not accept any agreement that does not include a complete cessation of aggression, the entry of aid, sheltering the displaced, reconstruction, lifting the siege, and completing the prisoner exchange process.
