Watan-The President of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali Al-Qaradaghi, received a public death threat from an organization affiliated with the Israeli occupation, after announcing the formation of a delegation to enter the Gaza Strip.
The official page of “Al-Qaradaghi” on the “X” platform published a picture of the threat received by the president of the Union of Muslim Scholars, which included a threat from the organization affiliated with the occupation state, saying: “Well done, come let’s fulfill your wish and bury you there.”
Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi’s response to the threat
A statement was issued by Al-Qaradaghi’s media office, saying: “O Muslims around the world… This is a threat from one of the scum of the earth directed at the esteemed Imam Ali Al-Qaradaghi, threatening him on behalf of the terrorist occupation organization.”

The statement added: “After the Imam announced his intention to deliver aid and open the Rafah crossing… We confirm that the esteemed Imam is still committed to his promise to form a delegation to deliver aid to Gaza through the Rafah crossing.”
The statement indicated that the visit of Al-Qaradaghi and the delegation is not for the crossing itself or for issuing statements or taking a stance, but it is to lift the siege, reaffirming the continuation of discussing the matter through official channels.
The statement continued: “While some rush to blame and do not understand the reality and its complexities, the media arms of the occupier move under the direction of its mischievous forces to threaten the Imam, besiege his account, and incite electronic flies because they know the value, worth, and danger of this step.”
He concluded by saying: “We appeal to Muslims to support the initiative and express their solidarity, support, and advocacy, raising the slogan ‘We are all with Al-Qaradaghi and the World Union of Muslim Scholars to lift the siege on Gaza.'”
Al-Qaradaghi insists on visiting Gaza
Al-Qaradaghi had earlier confirmed his intention to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing even if it “costs him his life.” He said: “We are not concerned with the enemy’s malice or the occupation army.”
Al-Qaradaghi stated regarding the visit of the Union’s delegation to the Gaza Strip: “We have taken procedural steps to facilitate our entry, as we have requested from Mr. Sameh Shoukry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to approve a visit to the city of Rafah and the entry of a delegation of senior Muslim scholars and representatives of parliamentary and human rights bodies.”
