Watan-Two Jordanian military pilots lost their lives as a Jordanian military aircraft crashed and was destroyed during a training mission in the northeast of the country.
A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that one of the training aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force type (GROP) crashed during a training mission at King Hussein Air Base in Mafraq.
The source mentioned that the crash resulted in the death of both Major Pilot Omar Ata Al-Abadi and Captain Pilot Mohammad Abdullah Al-Khudair, after they were transferred to Al-Hussein Medical City.
The Jordanian Army statement expressed condolences, praying to God to grant them mercy and forgiveness, and to grant their families, loved ones, and comrades patience and solace.

This military aircraft crash is not the first of its kind, as a similar incident occurred when an aircraft of the same type crashed during a training mission in Ramtha, Irbid Governorate, northern Jordan, resulting in the death of two pilots as well.
The latest incident of this kind took place on June 19 of last year when two Jordanian pilots were injured due to the crash of a military helicopter belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force during a training flight near the capital, Amman.
