Details of the killing of Emirati soldiers, a Bahraini officer, and injury of others in a terrorist attack in Somalia are as follows:

Watan-The UAE Ministry of Defense announced in an urgent official statement carried by the WAM news agency the killing of three Emirati soldiers and a Bahraini officer, with others injured, in a terrorist attack in Somalia.

According to the UAE official news agency statement, the Ministry of Defense announced the deaths of three members of the UAE Armed Forces and an officer from the Bahrain Defense Force in this terrorist attack in Somalia.

In addition to the injury of two others due to “being exposed to a terrorist act in the sisterly Republic of Somalia, while performing their duties in training and rehabilitating the Somali Armed Forces, which fall within the bilateral agreement between the UAE and the Republic of Somalia as part of military cooperation between the two countries,” according to the statement reviewed by (Watan).

The UAE authorities did not disclose any further details about this attack or its nature, nor did they address any talk about the entity behind it in Somalia.

The UAE Ministry of Defense also offered sincere condolences to the families of the Emirati soldiers killed, “asking the Almighty to envelop them with His abundant mercy,” and expressed wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The statement also emphasized that the UAE continues to coordinate and cooperate with the Somali governmen

in investigating what it described as “the heinous terrorist act.”

So far, no entity in Somalia has claimed responsibility for the operation, and the Somali authorities have not issued any information about this terrorist attack that claimed the lives of Emirati soldiers and a Bahraini officer, and injured others.
