Watan-Social media platforms recently buzzed with videos circulated by users claiming to show fish with human faces, dubbed “Homobisis,” in Samasara Lake in the secluded Karangi Province. This left marine biologists bewildered and astonished… but what’s the truth?!
Following the controversy sparked by the dissemination of these scenes on various platforms, it was revealed that the original video was manipulated, and the channel that published the original clip explained in the description that they produce videos using computer techniques.
Furthermore, searching for Samasara Lake or the type of fish yields no reliable results or any scientifically documented information confirming the existence of this type of fish known as “Homobisis.”
Moreover, the discovery of such a species could constitute a scientific event covered by media outlets worldwide. However, no credible source has confirmed it. It turns out that the original video was first published on January 18, 2024, on a YouTube channel called “Headtap Videos.”
“Fictitious Clips Unrelated to Reality”
The channel owner explained in the introductory section that he conducts experiments on video and design metrics.
He also pointed out that he presents many clips on his channel that are unrelated to reality and are purely imaginative, relying on digital designs, including “fish with human faces.”
Additionally, the channel owner also has an account on TikTok under the name Bobbyboom88, where he posts the same clips.
Looking at the comments accompanying the fish video, it can be observed that the channel owner responded to questions or comments from users, asserting that the videos were created using artificial intelligence.
