Watan-Military expert, Jordanian Brigadier General Fayez al-Dweiri, commented on the announcement by the Israeli occupation army and its boasting of what it called the liberation of the two Israeli prisoners, Fernando Marman and Louis Har, from Rafah in a special operation.
Al-Dweiri, in a comment via his account on platform X, considered the Israeli occupation’s statement about the release of the hostages to be exaggerated.
He said that they (the occupation) turned a simple and expected incident into an extraordinary heroic act, rallying all efforts and deploying elite forces to execute it, even though it was a routine incident that could have happened to others.
However, the exploitation of the incident is more important than the incident itself because it supports the viewpoint of Netanyahu and his defense minister that continued military pressure is the optimal way to make Hamas submit to Israel’s conditions, especially after Netanyahu obtained Biden’s preliminary approval to carry out a military operation in Rafah.
Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had succeeded in liberating two prisoners in a secret and complex operation in the Shabura area in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and published documentation of the alleged operation.

The operation was accompanied by intensive aerial bombardment of civilian homes in Rafah, with the occupation’s aircraft launching more than 40 airstrikes on various areas of the city, targeting at least 15 houses.
The airstrikes were described as the heaviest on Rafah or its surroundings since the start of the war on Gaza, resulting in the death of at least 70, most of them children, and injuring dozens.
Where were the two Israeli detainees, Fernando Marman and Louis Har, living!?
In this context, the detainees Fernando Marman and Louis Har said that they were with a family in Rafah and were not subjected to torture, according to the Hebrew newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth”.
They mentioned that they cooked for the family that held them, but they mainly lived on homemade bread and white cheese, causing them to lose a lot of weight.

They explained that they had not seen sunlight during the 129 days of their captivity, and they told the host family that they were Argentineans and talked to them about football.
Israeli special forces entered the second floor of the building amid an exchange of gunfire and under the cover of airstrikes – according to the report – and managed to extract the detainees.
Relatives of the former detainees said that the men recently received “some kind of medication” and were not subjected to beatings, but they returned “extremely frail,” and they were not informed of the news throughout their detention, except once when they managed to watch a broadcast on Al Jazeera, and they remained detained in the same place in the last few weeks.
They were asleep when the Israeli forces entered
The families of the men said they were asleep when the Israeli forces entered. Before realizing they were in the hands of the Israelis, they were convinced they would die there.
They mentioned that their rescue was a complete surprise. The niece of Fernando said, “I see that they are fine. They started to slowly adapt to what happened to them in the past four months.”
