Watan-The harsh scenes showed cats gnawing at the body of a child who was martyred by Israeli occupation forces in front of the Nasser Hospital complex in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
The occupation forces prevented doctors and paramedics from reaching the martyr’s body.
The cats were seen gnawing at the martyr’s body in plain sight and hearing of the occupation forces, who kill anyone attempting to enter or leave the hospital.
The martyr’s body was seen lying in the street in front of the hospital gate after being shot by the occupation forces.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza had previously announced the martyrdom and injury of displaced persons as a result of the Israeli army firing at them when they left Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis.
Doctors Without Borders expressed concern about the situation at Nasser Hospital, calling on the occupation army to ensure that all medical staff, patients, and displaced persons are not harmed.
The organization stated that the occupation army ordered all displaced persons at Nasser Hospital, the largest in southern Gaza, to evacuate it, informing medical staff and patients that they could stay only if one person remained with each patient.
It emphasized that people are afraid to leave the hospital because they have heard reports of gunfire targeting those leaving it, stressing the importance of granting those who want to leave the right to safe passage.
