Watan-Hundreds of Jordanian activists organized a human chain in protest against the land bridge that transports goods from the Emirates to the occupation through Jordanian territory.
The event took place in the area of the Na’ima Bridge, on the highway leading to the city of Irbid in the north of the country, through which trucks headed to the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, linking to the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948, pass.
Participants raised banners condemning the Jordanian government’s approval of supplying the occupation with goods, at a time when it is suffering a major blow from the Red Sea, after the Houthis prevented cargo ships heading to its ports from passing.
Protesters denounced the assistance of Gulf countries to the occupation to help it overcome its crisis and compensate for its losses resulting from its aggression on the Gaza Strip.
This is the second event against occupation trucks, which revealed the existence of a land route for transporting goods from the Emirates through Saudi Arabia and Jordan to the Sheikh Hussein Crossing.

Last Friday, activists organized an event to head to the crossing, but the Jordanian authorities prevented them from reaching the place and blocked their path from a distance of 26 kilometers from the bridge connecting Jordan and Palestine.
The Jordanian security set up a checkpoint in the middle of the city of Irbid, on the road leading to the northern Shawna area, preventing participants from reaching it and heading to the crossing area to protest against the land bridge.
Israeli Minister Celebrates the Project
Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev appeared in a video standing at one of India’s ports, where she inspected the road connecting India to the Emirates, followed by the transportation of goods by land to Israel via Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
The Israeli minister said, “We are now at the Mundra port, the largest port in northern India, from which all these shipments go to the Emirates, and from the Emirates by land to Israel.”

She added, “War has imposed challenges on us… The biggest challenge is how to supply goods to Israel… Israel is like an island, and all goods arrive by sea.”
She pointed out that this route is an alternative to the Red Sea due to the attacks by the Houthi group on ships heading to Israel, explaining that goods leave the Mundra port in India to the Emirates by sea, then are transported by trucks through Saudi Arabia and then Jordan to Israel.
Evading Houthi Attacks
The Israeli minister had previously revealed that Tel Aviv is working on an axis to transport goods from India through the Emirates and then to the occupation state to evade Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.
Miri Regev said in a previous post on the “X” platform: “We are creating a bypass axis for the Houthis, where goods will be transported from India through Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv.”
