Targeted: Palestinian Journalists and Doctors Under Occupation Fire
The moment Saleh Al-Jaafaraoui

Watan-Palestinian journalist Saleh Al-Jaafaraoui recounted the details of his injury along with a group of doctors and journalists, including “Mohammed Abu Salama,” after being directly targeted by the occupation forces. This occurred after they left Nasser Hospital, which the occupation had forced them to evacuate.

In a video clip circulating online, Al-Jaafaraoui , with his hand visibly injured and bandaged with a medical gauze, stated that he sought to bring the doctors after their evacuation from Nasser Hospital.

While they were near the Noor Mosque, the place was targeted with a missile, resulting in injuries to several doctors and journalist Mohammed Abu Salama. Al-Jaafaraoui himself was also injured by shrapnel and fractures. Shortly afterward, the same place was targeted again.

A video clip showed several journalists injured during their attempt to evacuate to Rafah in southern Gaza.

Deliberate Targeting

In the same video, Palestinian activist Saleh Al-Jaafaraoui stated that the occupation forces deliberately targeted him, along with several journalists and doctors. He grimaced in pain, mentioning that the occupation knew they were displaced and accompanied by doctors, and they left the hospital under their observation through the safe route. However, the occupation targeted them on the road, indicating that they were near the Noor Mosque after the Mirage area.

He recounted that the place was targeted with a reconnaissance rocket, and when they attempted to treat a female doctor named “Israa,” they were targeted again in the same area.

Nasser Hospital Raid

Israeli special forces stormed Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in Gaza, according to the Israeli occupation army and the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

According to CNN, the Israeli army spokesperson claimed to have “intelligence information indicating that Hamas had previously held hostages in the hospital, and that the bodies of the deceased hostages might be present in the hospital.” However, the Israeli occupation army did not provide any reliable evidence to support these allegations.

These reports come a day after Israeli forces forced hundreds of Palestinian civilians to leave the hospital they were using as a shelter.

A video filmed on Tuesday showed pillars of smoke surrounding the hospital, an Israeli bulldozer destroying a perimeter wall, an armored vehicle entering the hospital grounds, and gunfire audible everywhere.
