Watan-Iranian media outlets have published footage of what they claim to be new air defense systems unveiled by Iran.
According to circulated information, among these systems are the “Arman” missiles designed to counter ballistic missiles, and the “Azarakhsh” air defense system.
According to a video aired by Al Mayadeen channel, the Iranian Ministry of Defense has revealed the “Arman” anti-ballistic missile air defense system and the “Azarakhsh” air defense system designed to counter low-altitude targets.
Analysts commenting on Iran’s unveiling of these new systems suggest that Tehran is enhancing its readiness to confront potential American and Israeli threats, against the backdrop of the ongoing aggression in Gaza and within the framework of its deterrence policy practiced under these circumstances.
Another video released by the Iranian Ministry of Defense and transmitted by the Tasnim News Agency documented a test of the new Iranian air defense system “Azarakhsh,” which successfully intercepted a drone.
Yesterday, Friday, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed, during a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, the relations between the two countries, developments in the Gaza Strip, and the recent events in the Palestinian city of Rafah.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement, published by the Saudi Press Agency, that Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from Hussein Amir Abdollahian, during which bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed, as well as regional and international developments, including the recent developments in Rafah and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
During a phone call with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, on Thursday, Abdollahian called for “holding an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take decisive measures against Israel,” according to the semi-official Iranian Tasnim News Agency.
The two sides discussed “the recent attacks in Rafah and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as the movements of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in this regard,” according to the agency.
