Watan-A debate has sparked after circulated reports claimed that the Israeli occupation army is using Turkish weapons in the war on Gaza.
Pictures spread on social media platforms, showing what was said to be fragments of Turkish-made missiles used by the Israeli army in the Shujaiya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
Turkish Presidency denies
In response, the Turkish Presidency’s Communication Directorate’s Disinformation Combat Center dismissed what it called a “new lie” alleging Israel’s use of Turkish missiles in its aggression against civilians in Gaza.
The center strongly denied “this lie,” stating in a statement that the claim that fragments of Turkish-made missiles were used by the Israeli army in the Shujaiya area in Gaza regarding some of the circulated pictures on social media accounts is untrue.

It said that Turkey has no direct or indirect military ammunition trade with Israel.
It also pointed out that it is not clear whether the piece in the alleged picture belongs to any ammunition. Additionally, the phrase “Made by” appearing in the picture is not used in the Turkish defense industries at all.
Previously, it was also claimed that Pakistan, which supports the people of Gaza, supplied Israel with 155mm artillery ammunition, a claim Pakistani officials vehemently denied.
Turkish Analyst Responds
Turkish analyst Y responded to these allegations in a post on his X account.
Y said, “It is true that Turkey’s stance on Gaza is shameful and disappointing, like most Islamic countries, but the claim that Israel is using Turkish missiles is entirely false.”
Y refuted these allegations, saying that Turkey stopped using the term “Turkey” a year and a half ago and has been using the term “Türkiye” in all its domestic and foreign products.

He added that Turkey never uses the phrase “Made by Turkey” in its defense products. He also explained that Turkey has a missile manufacturing project, but it has only recently entered serial production, meaning after changing the term “Turkey.”
He continued: “If the picture were taken of a missile from a Turkish product in Gaza, it should have the word Türkiye written on it.”
He pointed out that Turkish missiles entered serial production a few months ago, asking: “Is it reasonable for Turkey to export missiles to other countries while it has not yet entered its army’s inventory?”
He noted that a disinformation combat account linked to the Turkish Presidency published a news report confirming the falsity of the allegations, stating that there is no direct or indirect deal between Turkey and Israel regarding weapons.
