Watan-The military spokesperson for the Houthis in Yemen, Brigadier Yahya Saree, announced on Monday details of new operations carried out by the Yemeni group’s elements against British and American forces in the Red Sea.

In a statement posted on his official account on the “X” platform and monitored by (Watan), the Houthi military spokesperson said that the group, through its naval forces, carried out a qualitative military operation targeting a British ship in the Gulf of Aden.

The Houthi announces details of targeting a British ship

The statement revealed that the ship is named “RUBYMAR” and was targeted with a number of appropriate naval missiles.

Brigadier Yahya Saree confirmed that the British ship was seriously damaged as a result of the attack, leading to its complete halt.

He continued, “As a result of the extensive damage suffered by the ship, it is now at risk of sinking in the Gulf of Aden. We ensured the safe evacuation of the ship’s crew during the operation.”

Shooting down an American aircraft in Hodeidah

The Houthi military spokesperson also pointed out that in Hodeidah, the Yemeni collective air defenses managed to shoot down an American aircraft (MQ9) with an appropriate missile “while it was carrying out hostile missions against our country in favor of the Zionist entity,” according to the statement.

Brigadier Yahya Saree emphasized at the end of the statement that the Houthi group will not hesitate to take further military actions and carry out more qualitative operations against all targets described as hostile “in defense of dear Yemen and in affirmation of the supportive stance for the Palestinian people,” the statement said.

He concluded: “The operations of the Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf will not stop until the aggression ceases and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted.”
