Watan-The Israeli Channel 14 reported on Tuesday morning that an Israeli force fell into a well-planned ambush in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, yesterday Monday, after a house they were holed up in was targeted with an RPG (Rocket-Propelled Grenade) shell, leading to the house catching fire and them being trapped inside.
The channel mentioned that the soldiers were trapped in the burning house, and the commander of a tank nearby demolished a part of the house to enable the soldiers to climb aboard.
The ambush in Khan Yunis was described as dangerous and difficult
The channel added that the rescue operation for the Israeli soldiers trapped in the ambush was challenging but ended with their salvation.
Meanwhile, the “Kod Kod” website described the security event as “dangerous and difficult,” noting casualties among the soldiers, without any official announcement yet.

On Tuesday, the Israeli army acknowledged the death of a soldier from the Paratroopers Brigade due to injuries sustained days ago in battles in southern Gaza Strip, raising the number of its soldiers killed since the beginning of the war on October 7th last year to 575.
Yesterday, Monday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated that it targeted an Israeli force of 15 soldiers holed up in a house west of Khan Yunis with two shells, resulting in casualties among them.
The Qassam Brigades also announced the sniper killing of two Zionist soldiers and clashing with an infantry force, resulting in casualties, in the Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades presented documentation of an operation it carried out in collaboration with the Mujahideen Brigades, showing the targeting of a Hermes 900 reconnaissance aircraft with a Sam 7 missile southwest of Gaza City.
