Watan-Hebrew media revealed that Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army, was subjected to a stabbing attempt with a knife a month ago in the Rannana area by the prisoner Ahmed Zeidat, since the double stabbing and run-over operation, coinciding with the ongoing Gaza war.
Israeli Channel 14 claimed that one of the Palestinian gunmen who carried out the joint attack in Rannana last month had planned to assassinate the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army to the Arab public, Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, and followed him with a knife, according to their investigations.
Monitoring and surveillance
According to the allegations of the Israeli police, the attacker, 24-year-old Ahmed Zeidat from the town of Bani Na’im in Hebron in the West Bank, noticed Adraee in one of the city’s restaurants and began to follow him. He even went out on several occasions to search for him while armed with a knife as he rode a motorcycle.
According to the source, Zeidat, and a relative of his from the village of Na’im in the Hebron area, had carried out a joint stabbing and run-over operation in Rannana about a month ago.
The Rannana operation, which included a collective stabbing and run-over attack on a number of Israelis, took place in the industrial area of Rannana on January 15, 2024, resulting in the death of a woman and the injury of about 18 people. The attacker managed to escape.
The Israeli army arrested the young man, 24-year-old Mohammed Zeidat, along with his brother Mahmoud Zeidat, 44, on charges of involvement in the attack. Both are residents of the town of Bani Na’im in Hebron in the West Bank and entered Israel – according to enemy media – illegally as they did not have entry permits to the occupied territories.
It is worth mentioning that Avichay Adraee was born on July 19, 1982, in Haifa. He is a major in the Israeli army and holds the position of spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army to the Arab public.
