Watan-The Israeli army claimed to have found a handwritten note by the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar.
The Israeli army published the alleged image, which reads: “I am very, very angry with Hassan Nasrallah,” signed by Sinwar and dated February 20, 2024.
The military correspondent for the “Yedioth Ahronoth” newspaper, Yoyse Yehoshua, claimed that the document was found in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army is accustomed to spreading claims about Yahya Sinwar as part of its psychological warfare within its comprehensive war on the Gaza Strip.
Rumors of Sinwar’s escape
Israeli and Arab reports previously circulated Israeli claims alleging that Sinwar fled or escaped to Egypt with living Israeli prisoners.
These statements were based on retired Israeli intelligence officer Rafael Gerusalemme’s interview with the Israeli “i24 News” channel.

Denial of Israeli rumor
However, the “Yedioth Ahronoth” newspaper quoted an Israeli security official as saying that there is no intelligence information indicating Sinwar‘s escape or death.
At the same time, in response to these reports circulated by the Israeli media, a senior Hamas official said that the occupation’s attempts to fabricate information about the movement’s leadership and its leader, Yahya Sinwar, are ridiculous.
The official also believed that the purpose of these narratives is to boost the morale of the defeated Israeli occupation army and its collapsing entity, emphasizing that Sinwar continues to carry out his duties as the leader of Hamas.
