Jordanian airdrop of aid to Gaza falls into the sea

Watan-Video clips circulating on social media documented a large gathering of Palestinians along the coastline, where Jordanian aircraft conducted airdrop operations of aid boxes to the Gaza Strip.

Local Palestinian sources revealed the falling of aid boxes, dropped by Jordanian aircraft, into the sea off the Gaza coast, noting attempts by fishermen to retrieve them.

Jordan’s Al-Mamlaka channel reported that the Jordanian Armed Forces carried out 4 airdrop missions delivering aid to the people of Gaza under the directives of King Abdullah II.

The channel published recorded clips capturing part of the aid dropping operation over the Gaza Strip, showing aid boxes landing in the sea.

An official statement from the Jordanian Armed Forces disclosed that the airdrops involved 4 C130 aircraft, one of which belonged to the French Armed Forces. The statement also clarified that the aid included relief and food items, including high-nutrition ready meals.

The Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the airdrops were conducted along the Gaza coast from north to south.

Colonel Mustafa Al-Hayari, Director of Military Media, described it as the largest Jordanian airdrop operation targeting the population in the Gaza Strip, during a press conference at King Abdullah II Air Base in the Al-Gabawi area.

“Media stunt”!

The scene of the latest airdrop sparked criticism from Palestinian activists, considering it a “show.” According to them, Bilal Nizar Rayan stated, “In a publicity stunt, the food supplies were dropped in the city of Rafah, south of Gaza, instead of being delivered to the north of Gaza as communicated by the intermediaries. The aid was completely destroyed as it fell into the sea!”

Baraa Nizar Rayan commented, “The fish in the southern waters of the Gaza Strip thank King Abdullah II for today’s airdrops!”

They mentioned that after the Jordanian regime informed Palestinian authorities about a food aid drop to the besieged northern areas, thousands of citizens waited in anticipation, only to find out it was dropped in the southern areas, leaving them with empty stomachs and great disappointment, as they described it.

The Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the intensified airdrop operations were a result of the worsening humanitarian conditions for the people of the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing aggression, which could lead to famine in the region.

Activist Ali Abu Ruzq said, “To be honest, I was delighted with the news of the airdrops in Gaza an hour ago, before I was disappointed by the location where the aid fell. There is no single source confirming its targeting of the famine-stricken area in the north, but rather the southern areas. If this was done in coordination with the occupation, then it is a disaster, but if it happened by mistake, then the disaster is even greater…!”

  1. I think this is very clinical comments on here isresl has also started shooting at peo0le in south perhaps it was test run see but at leadt some food getting I. We all joped it would be some in morth wonder why countries 2 scared to push isreal out the way weak and shameful let’s hope this is start least many air drops and food st leadt in south and central can make its way to North urgently far more needs to happen quickly
