Watan-Israeli soldiers have resorted to posting images depicting crimes and deviant behavior committed by them in Gaza on their dating app profiles, amid increasing demand among Israeli women to connect with them.
The images posted by Israeli soldiers depict lingerie possibly belonging to women killed by the occupying army in Gaza or forcibly displaced by them.
One Israeli soldier posted a picture of himself sitting next to these garments after hanging them on a wall, on a dating app.
Other soldiers have been seen attempting to attract women for dates by posting pictures of themselves in front of the rubble of residential neighborhoods destroyed by them.
Israeli soldiers have exhibited a sense of pride in their crimes, sexual misconduct, and deviant behavior, coinciding with organized campaigns portraying single soldiers as “national heroes” in search of female companionship.
Israeli leaders have also participated in these campaigns
While soldiers exploit the war on Gaza to seek romantic relationships with women, Israeli leaders have urged women to marry single soldiers to increase the Jewish population in what they call “fighting the enemies.”

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett previously stated, “I have already arranged about 4-5 weddings for the wounded or bereaved family members… Victory over our enemies will not be in the hellish pits we set for them on the battlefield but in creating a new life for us to remain here in Israel.”
The crimes boasted about by Israeli soldiers do not appear to be individual acts against women in Israel, as dating platforms have recorded increasing requests to connect with them, according to the Times of Israel.
Homosexuality in the Israeli Army has always stirred controversy. Reports have revealed that the Israeli army ranks among the world’s leading forces with a significant number of LGBTQ+ individuals, including same-sex marriages.
During the war on Gaza, such practices were evident. An Israeli soldier was seen sitting in a chair, applying skincare products to his face and wearing headphones, while a tank nearby was bombarding a location.
Recently, a gay Israeli soldier posted his picture proudly holding the LGBTQ+ flag in front of a tank, expressing his pride in fulfilling the commitment he made to himself by bringing the LGBTQ+ flag to Gaza.
Israel began recognizing same-sex marriages conducted abroad in 2006 and allowed adoption through surrogacy in 2020. However, same-sex couples in Israel itself cannot legally marry.
