Defiance and Resolve: Ismail Haniyeh’s Message to Israel and the World

Watan-The head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, said that what the Zionists and the United States failed to impose in the field, they will not achieve through political maneuvers, as he described it.

Ismail Haniyeh added in a speech during the activities of the “Jerusalem International Foundation” conference that the Israeli occupation army has failed for months “in front of our men in the field and only succeeded in killing children and women.”

Haniyeh said that it is the duty of the Arab and Islamic nations to take the initiative to “break the conspiracy of starvation” in the northern Gaza Strip.

He added that the Zionist occupier continues to commit the worst crimes known to humanity, including murder, genocide, displacement, torture, field executions, aggression against hospitals and children, starvation, and attacks on humanitarian teams and journalists.

Ismail Haniyeh concluded, “The courageous Palestinian resistance will face him with the noblest and highest acts of steadfastness in history… and confront him with the fiercest battles when he attempted to test the results of his ground operation.”

Warning against invading Rafah

Haniyeh warned Israel against conducting a ground military operation in Rafah, threatening that the Palestinian resistance in the field would confront it. He called on the world, especially Arab countries, to confront this enemy and restrain it from invading Rafah.

Ismail Haniyeh emphasized that the resistance will remain faithful to sacrifices and committed to the constants of its people and nation, stating that “any flexibility we show in negotiations, in order to protect the blood of our people and to put an end to its great suffering and enormous sacrifices in the brutal genocide war against it, is matched by a readiness to defend the Palestinian people.”

The month of Jihad and Victories

He added: “It does not harm us if we enter the month of Ramadan in confrontation and jihad, as it is the month of victories.”

The head of Hamas‘s political bureau considered that “the threat of committing new massacres in Rafah reaffirms the nature of this enemy with its Nazi army, which represents one of the worst regular armies known to humanity in its history, when it declares massacres and killing civilians as a war strategy.”

Regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Haniyeh emphasized that “the minimum we accept in Al-Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic and Christian sanctities is adherence to the current situation according to international law, as it sustains the status quo of the sanctities as they were before the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem in 1967.”

He added: “Al-Aqsa will remain an open confrontation, and our people will defend its mosques, churches, and sanctities in all forms of resistance. It will remain a symbol of liberation until it is achieved.”
