Protest Outside the American Embassy
In another matter concerning the embassy, Israelis protested in early March outside the Washington embassy, demanding that US President Joe Biden pressure their Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” to exchange prisoners.
Protesters held signs reading: “Mr. Biden, help us save them,” and “Bring them all home now,” referring to Israeli prisoners in Gaza.
Among the demonstrators were relatives of the Israeli detainees, estimated by Tel Aviv to be about 134 prisoners. The protesters also waved American and Israeli flags, and displayed pictures of Israeli prisoners in Gaza.
