Recurring Tragedy in Gaza: The Plight of Hind and Hala Hamadeh
Watan-The tragedy of the martyr child Hind Hamadeh, who was besieged by occupation forces in a car and killed after a number of her family members were martyred, is recurring, but this time with her cousin’s daughter, the child Hala.
The Palestinian girl, Hala Hamadeh, cousin of Hind Hamadeh, made a distress call to rescue her from under the rubble after her house was targeted in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of all her family members.
The girl is located in an area surrounded by Israeli occupation tanks and bulldozers in Khan Younis.
A circulated audio recording captures the pleas of the Palestinian girl, 14-year-old Hala, appealing to be rescued from under the rubble during her conversation with her uncle.
During her phone call with her uncle, Hala said that her family members were martyred due to the Israeli shelling, and that she was injured in her leg after a concrete column fell on her, while her parents Hazem and Rajaa, and her three siblings (Basant, Zeinab, and Fouad) were martyred, and she is now trapped by Israeli occupation forces.

Hala pleaded with her uncle to come to rescue her before darkness falls, fearing the dark, and said: “I’m thirsty, please hurry.”
The girl’s uncle said that the phone call was cut off with his niece at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday.
Meanwhile, the girl’s grandfather, crying, appealed for urgent rescue of his granddaughter from under the rubble after the martyrdom of her five family members, including her parents, asking for at least water “because she’s thirsty.”

It is worth noting that the child Hind was martyred last month after being besieged in Gaza City for 12 days, where medical teams were unable to rescue her due to Israeli shelling and the martyrdom of two paramedics during the rescue operation.

The case of losing contact with Hind while she was trapped in a vehicle surrounded by occupation forces and surrounded by the bodies of her relatives who were martyred, shook the conscience of the world, especially after losing contact with the ambulance crew sent to rescue her.
This tragedy occurred when Israeli tanks targeted a civilian car belonging to Bashar Hamadeh in the vicinity of the “Finance Roundabout” in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City, accompanied by his wife and children Mohammed (11 years old), Layan (14 years old), Raghad (13 years old), and his niece, the child Hind.
