Secret Emirati Visit to Israel… Conducted by Prominent Official and Its Objectives Before Ramadan

Watan-The official Israeli broadcasting authority revealed an Emirati-Israeli meeting in the occupied Palestinian territories through a secret visit conducted by a prominent official from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv.

The authority stated that the visit took place this week and discussed several topics, most notably the file of the war on Gaza. During the visit, the Emirati official also discussed increasing humanitarian aid to the sector and introducing it via maritime routes.

This comes amidst the suffocating blockade imposed by Israel before and after the brutal war on the sector, leading to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. Abu Dhabi supports the occupation with aid via a special land route leading to the port of Haifa.

Mutual visits between the UAE and Israel!

The authority also mentioned a similar visit by an Israeli official to the UAE to discuss the war on the Gaza Strip, including a scenario for transporting humanitarian aid to the sector by sea.

The Israeli broadcasting authority clarified that Benjamin Netanyahu’s Chief of Staff’s military secretary, called “Avi Gil,” visited Abu Dhabi hours before.

Media sources spoke of a plan supported by the UAE to provide assistance to tens of thousands of displaced persons’ shelters in the southern Gaza Strip.

The UAE did not comment on these reports, while the occupation government is keen to present itself to international forums as wanting to deliver aid to the sector, while imposing a suffocating blockade for years and targeting civilians with various types of destructive weapons.

Aid before Ramadan

Channel 13 mentioned that Israel would allow, for the first time, the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip by sea, possibly before the arrival of Ramadan.

The source mentioned that this aid would be funded and led by the UAE and would be sent via a ship loaded with extensive humanitarian aid to Cyprus. There, it would be inspected by Israeli security, then transported and unloaded on the shores of Gaza.

James McGoldrick, the UN’s interim coordinator for humanitarian affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories, warned of the worsening food crisis and health conditions in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a destructive Israeli war for five months.

Anadolu Agency quoted the UN official calling for increased humanitarian aid, with at least 300 aid trucks needed daily.

The occupation prevents all supplies from reaching the besieged sector for 17 years before tightening the siege extremely since the beginning of the current war.
