Watan-Saraya al-Quds – Jenin Brigade broadcast scenes of ambushing an Israeli army unit in the vicinity of the Homesh settlement and detonating an explosive device.
The scenes documented the pre-planting of the explosive device, along with showcasing the gathering point of the occupying forces, as well as intensive gunfire from the resistance fighters.
The footage revealed the luring of the occupying forces to the ambush site prepared for them, followed by the detonation of the explosive device.
7 Israeli soldiers injured
The Israeli occupation army had previously announced the injury of seven soldiers on Friday in a double operation near the Homesh settlement in northern West Bank.
Details of the operation in Homesh settlement
Israeli media reported that the operation carried out by two Palestinians occurred between Nablus and Jenin.
It was revealed that Palestinian resistance fighters attacked a military checkpoint near the Homesh settlement between Nablus and Jenin, firing more than 30 rounds.
As the soldiers pursued them, an explosive device detonated, resulting in seven injuries, two of which were described as very serious, and they were airlifted to the hospital.
Israeli Channel 12 stated that the operation included firing at an Israeli military site and detonating an explosive device as soldiers gathered.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Palestinian gunmen fired at an army site in the Homesh settlement and withdrew from the area.

In turn, Hamas affirmed that the heroic Homesh operation confirms the choice of resistance as a natural response to the occupation’s massacres in Gaza, the West Bank, and its threats to Al-Aqsa.
In a statement, Hamas said: “The heroic Homesh operation confirms our people’s steadfast belief in resistance as the only way to respond to the occupation’s crimes and massacres in Gaza and its threats to worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the blessed month of Ramadan.”
It added: “We salute the heroic hands that avenged today the blood of our bleeding people at the hands of the new Nazism, and we call on the free people of our nation and its heroes to continue the path of revenge and respond to the occupation’s crimes, and demand freedom on the path of the great martyrs.”
Hamas emphasized that the leaders of the occupation and its supporters must realize that the Palestinian people’s adherence to their rights and sanctities only grows stronger, regardless of the sacrifices made and the crimes committed by the occupation.
It continued: “Our people are always ready to deliver painful blows to the heart of the entity and its settlers, which will be strengthened in Ramadan, the month of jihad, martyrdom, and victories.”
Jihad calls on the occupation to prepare for the month of conquests
Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad Movement stated that the Homesh operation delivers a new blow to the presence of the occupation in the West Bank.
Islamic Jihad praised the heroic operation, indicating that they are fully confident that the free people in the field know their duty towards their people and their cause, and they will continue the strikes in revenge for the martyrs.
The Jihad hailed “the minds that planned the operation and the hands that executed it,” confirming that the resistance brigades will continue their role in the open battle with the occupation, and their actions will not diminish or retreat.
The Jihad stressed that the ongoing massacre against children and women in Gaza, the aggressive crimes in the West Bank, and the measures the occupation is preparing to impose on those intending to pray and worship in Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan will solidify the Palestinians’ awareness and the convictions of the resistance that confrontation is the only choice to curb the aggression and foil its plans.
The movement affirmed that the occupier and its supporters must prepare themselves well for what awaits them during the blessed month, the month of heroism, conquests, and victories.
